SCB18 Dry Type Step Down Transformer​

The core is made of ultra-thin high magnetic permeability oriented cold rolled silicon steel sheets of 0.21mm thickness. The core is a fully laminated oblique-slot structure, and the columnar part of the core is multi-stage circular in cross-section. The cross-sectional shape of the yoke is the same as that of the core. The windings are vacuum cast with enhanced epoxy resin for excellent insulation and moisture resistance.

Features/Highlights 

1. The core is made of 0.21mm ultra-thin high permeability orientation cold-rolled silicon steel sheets, and the loss is reduced to the lowest level in the industry.

2. The windings are made using an improved epoxy resin vacuum casting process that provides excellent insulation performance and complete protection against moisture and contamination.

Product Overview

Core:

0.21mm ultra-thin high permeability oriented cold-rolled silicon steel sheet. The core has a fully oblique-slit laminated structure with the columnar part of a multi-stage circular cross section. The yoke has the same cross-sectional shape as the core, reducing magnetic reluctance and losses.

Coils:

High purity oxygen-free cooper wire for high-voltage and low-voltage windings. The low-voltage winding is of a foil construction, reducing losses in the load effectively. The windings are molded with high-precision vacuum casting epoxy resin, no air bubbles and insulation performance is excellent. The high-voltage winding is provided with terminals corresponding to the required tap voltage. These terminals are connected to a disconnect switch on the cover. The tap voltage should be changed only with the power disconnected.

 

Enclosure:

The transformer can be supplied with a protective enclosure IP20 or IP30 IP20 or IP30 in order to prevent accidental contact and intrusion of dust , and thus ensure operational safety. The enclosure is constructed from high quality steel with a painted surface for a durable and corrosion resistant finish.

The windings are produced by a high-precision vacuum casting process. This process thoroughly removes moisture and air bubbles from the windings, and forms a tight bond between the epoxy resin and the windings. This effectively prevents the ingress of oxygen and moisture into the windings, thereby avoiding the reduction of the insulation performance of the transformer. This measure considerably increases the reliability of operation of the transformer.

Insulation structure:

Dry-type distribution transformer adopts F-class insulation structure, the high voltage and low voltage coils are concentric, the gaps between the coils are formed by insulating partitions and air gaps, and the insulation performance is extremely excellent.
