Project Overview: Large-scale data center project located in Michigan, USA. The power supply and distribution system adopts a high-reliability N+1/2N architecture. Main incoming transformers and dry-type distribution transformers serve as the core power supply equipment for the data center.
Construction Site: Michigan, USA (Great Lakes region with cold winters, conducive to energy saving via natural cooling).
Scale and Quantity: 2 sets of main incoming transformers (138kV/13.8kV, 100 MVA); 40 sets of dry-type distribution transformers (13.8kV/480V); multiple sets of supporting 480V/208V cabinet power supply transformers.
Model and Parameters: Main incoming transformer: 138/13.8 kV, oil-immersed type, on-load tap changer (OLTC), compliant with IEEE/ANSI standards. Dry-type distribution transformer: 13.8kV/480V, epoxy-cast dry-type, 2000 kVA, Dyn1 vector group, certified by NEMA/UL, and designed with K-factor to withstand harmonic loads.
Construction Status: The data center has been completed and put into operation. The power supply system is in operation and expansion phase. Transformers are configured with N+1 redundancy to ensure continuous and reliable power supply.
Project Highlights: High-availability N+1/2N redundant architecture; indoor dry-type transformers ensuring fire safety for data center; K-factor design adapting to IT non-linear loads with strong harmonic resistance; energy-saving advantages utilizing the cold climate of Michigan for natural cooling.
Project Significance: The high-reliability power supply system supports cloud computing and hosting infrastructure in Michigan, ensuring 7×24-hour continuous and stable operation of the data center.
