Project Overview: Construction of a supporting power system for municipal engineering projects in Rwanda.
Construction Site: Rwanda, with an altitude of over 1500 meters and a mild and dry climate.
Scale and Quantity: A total of 15 distribution transformers are equipped for the municipal area distribution network, mainly pole-mounted transformers with a small number of box-type substations.
Model and Parameters: Voltage combination: 30kV/0.4kV (Dyn11); Rated capacity: 200kVA; Type: Three-phase oil-immersed distribution transformer (S11/S13 grade) with ONAN cooling mode; Compliance standard: IEC 60076
Construction Status: All works have been completed.
Project Highlights: Complete set equipment supply (transformers, switchgears and low-voltage distribution boxes); standardized construction by Chinese-funded EPC contractor; equipment optimized for plateau climate with adaptive heat dissipation and insulation performance for altitude above 1500 meters; priority given to municipal power supply reliability.
Project Significance: High-reliability and high-efficiency power equipment supports Rwanda’s urbanization process and the national electrification goal ofUniversal Electricity Access 2030, providing stable power guarantee for the new municipal district.
